Hair transplantation with punch grafts was a common technique around 10-15 years back. The problem with this technique was a very unnatural pluggy look and poor direction of  grafts. Correction of the hairline and restoring the natural look is very difficult. The common technique we follow is remove the existing plugs with FUE and transplant follicular units in the same area taking care of the angles and feathering.

Don't be biased towards not taking a medical treatment with minoxidil and finasteride. Many a times the continuing treatment and uncommon reversible side effects. With right separation and technique of administration , A-Cell and PRP treatment looks promising.

Though both FUT and FUE hair transplant is equally effective as a hair transplant procedure, but there is a increasing demand of FUE as the hair transplant client feel the FUE procedure as a lesser invasive procedure. There was a consensus of hair transplantation with combination technique in extensive baldness.

It's not only the density but also the hairline which is of immense importance in achieving a good hair transplant result. More and more hair transplant surgeons are moving beyond the scalp to beard and body as a source of donor hairs. Beard and body hair transplant has almost become a necessity to get a good coverage in severe baldness. The use of beard and beard hair should be preferably done in conjunction with scalp donor hair so as to minimise or hide the unnatural feel or texture.

Botox for axillary hyperhydrosis and palmar hyperhydrosis

Hyperhydrosis in the armpit or axillary area and in the palm is a troubling and difficult problem for the patient. Botulinum toxin or Botox can be used to treat such condition. 50-60 units of Botox is adequate for one side of armpit. The area of hyperhydrosis is accurately mapped with starch test. The Botox is injected at the subdermal level at multiple points at 1cm distance. The symptomatic relief is observed in 4-7 days time.

Zuvederm for antiaging

Zuvederm fillers has been traditionally used to correct static lines and grooves. Recently the use of fillers has been extended to other aspect of antiaging facial enhancement. When used at specific location or anatomical sites of the face, zuvederm can bring dramatic improvement in the facial aesthetics. Adding volume to the specific sites will achieve suttle lifting effect as well.

Breast augmentation with fat

Autologous fat is a very safe and affordable technique of breast enhancement. Breast augmentation with fat doesn't leave any scar unlike silicone breast implant. Desired volume or projection can also achieved. There are no concerns which are associated with silicone implants. There is no long term complication either. The feel is very natural and there is always a scope of augmenting the breast size further.

FUE Hair transplant in severe baldness (Norwood VII)

Common misconception about hair transplant into the scar area is that hair follicle cannot be transplanted into scar tissue because they won’t survive due to lack of blood supply. This is totally wrong. At the time of injury and subsequent suturing, adjacent hair follicles are damaged. With time the scar spread and this leads to absence of hair follicle in scar line. Scar area has lesser blood supply compared to normal area but that’s not a contraindication for hair transplant.  We don’t do dense packing in  the scar area. FACIAL FAT GRAFTING

Facial fat grafting is a medical procedure that uses a patient own fat to rejuvenate or augment certain areas of the face.

       Facial fat grafting is done in that patient who wants to improve contours and add fullness in areas of insufficient or depleted volume may be good candidates for natural fat grafting.

             

Procedure:

       The procedure is done under local or general anaesthesia. The fat is harvested from a donor site such as abdomen, waist, inner thigh or inner knees, utilizing a small syringe or blunt cannula. This fat is purified in a centrifuge in order to separate the blood, fluid and damaged fat cells prior to its use in facial grafting. The fat is then placed in small syringe and injected into the predetermined areas of the face.

 Fat grafting is a day care surgery. The common side effects are bruising, swelling and contour irregularity which recovers within 2 weeks. We do the following to minimize this recovery discomfort: ice the face before and after grafting, cool down the fat before grafting and antibiotic is essential.
